After our mad night out on the sleeper bus we woke up around 11am and went straight for lunch.

We then wanted to visit Thien So cave and the plan worked perfectly because 9 other people turned up at the same time which made the boat a lot less expensive. We had an awesome crew for the trip and enjoyed conversations about stalactites and stalagmites (lol).

As I’m often finding on this trip, there were 400+ stairs to reach the entrance of the cave but thankfully worth it. Inside we walked around 1km through and saw incredible formations. After seeing Thien Son we took the boat further to Phong Nha cave, which again had formations that made it look similar to a renaissance painting!

The biggest cave in the world is located here, Song Doon, but it cost $3000 to go inside and is a 4 day trek. It is apparently huge and can fit planes inside – wowza.

After a day of caving we all got together for dinner at Bamboo cafe and drinks at Easy Tiger.
