Both woke up feeling fresh so we finally embarked on the much awaited tour of Bohol. We picked up our friends from Germany and our driver (Roy) took us out to the furthest point, the Chocolate Hills!!! The hills are a collection of mounds that look like Hershey’s chocolates. Much to my disgust though this was the extent of the chocolate reference – I didn’t find a chocolate bar or anything for chocolate obsessed people here (boo). The hills themselves were pretty impressive and we managed to get a few shots despite the clouds:

The next stop was the Tarsier conservation area where these endangered monkeys can be spotted. I was surprised how tiny they were (like mouse size) but they looked very cute.

Roy then took us through the man made forest and the hanging Twin bridges before driving us to Loay for lunch.

After lunch we parted ways and Roy took us back to Panglao. On the way he stopped so we could see Baclayon church (Roman Catholic) and the Blood compact (a monument showing the friendship of the Spanish and Filipinos).

Obviously the tour of Bohol had been busy day so the pool was the answer to everything. When the sun went down we went to check out Alona Beach by night, and we were not disappointed. Many bars and clubs with fancy lights and varieties of music lure you in, and the smell of all the food is lush. We dined at a Thai restaurant but I opted for the BBQ, where I got to choose the exact Red Snapper fish I wanted to eat.

When we finished we found a stage are where some incredible fire dancers from Boracay put on a show! I was in awe of them but also slightly concerned that the fire was dangerously close to the audience!
