Update: Beth is a lot better :)!

Getting clothes tailor made in Hoi An is a must. Shop after shop offer the tailoring service and they can make pretty much anything – suits, shoes, belts, and bags. Obviously we couldn’t pass up the opportunity and so headed to Be Be. I got some formal trousers and Beth got a dress. After decisions had been made in style and colour, we measured and told to come back the next day to try.

After the excitement of tailor made clothes we cycled to An Bang beach, just a few kilometers away from the hostel. Once there we hired sun loungers and enjoyed a swim. This is the first beach we’ve come across during the trip so far so we stayed all afternoon in super chilled mode. Around 4:30, tonnes of Vietnamese families turned up with tables, chairs, BBQ and food… surrounding our sun loungers were families enjoying the afternoon sun and dipping in the sea. We weren’t sure if this is a regular event or if it was a celebration of some sort but it was amazing to witness.

In the evening we joined the hostels ‘spring roll class’ where we learned to make the rolls and how to eat them. Indeed, the locals wrap the fried spring roll inside a fresh one – known as Ying and Yang. After stuffing ourselves with the spring rolls we had some games on the go and happy hour was in full swing. At around 10 we started on the bar crawl which passed through Tiger Tiger, Mr. Bean Cafe, and a few more I don’t remember the name of (d’oh!).
