This morning we tried the pancake shop opposite the hostel – the ham and cheese pancake came with KETCHUP 😍 and we also tried the baked banana pancake. 10/10

It was then time for our first massage out here. We both opted for the neck back and shoulder massage which was really cheap (£3) and really good. The masseuse did pull, push, and twist me into various positions but it was relaxing and I felt the knots acquired from my desk job melt away.

Tuk tuk’d over to Lumpini Park where we were greeted by several crocodiles. Then became obsessed watching them whilst we chilled on the grass.

Headed to Centralword, an amazing shopping centre with modern design and international shops (Cath Kidston, Zara, Levi’s). However we weren’t there to shop, but to attend the M2F Bangkok festival. Our friend Patsiri suggested we come and see some Thai pop groups performing and enjoy the atmosphere. We certainly enjoyed the atmosphere but also the free goodies from the event sponsors.

There was a fantastic hut full of street food where we enjoyed grilled prawns for lunch. We also tried the famous Durian fruit with sticky rice but sadly our taste buds didn’t like it all that much  – it’s got a strong smell and you wouldn’t want to be sat in an office where someone whips out their Durian snack.

We then went back via Lumpini Park where locals were running laps of the park (in 27 degree heat) and doing Tai Chi.

Went for food and beers only to find out the place we picked ran out of Chang beer! My days.
