Up and out early for our 7am bus to Hoi An. As it was a sleeper bus, we were lying down for the journey (win for me). It took about 4 hours to get to Hue where it was very unclear how long we’d be stopping for. One person said another bus is coming in ten minutes and another said it was an hour. If we knew the actual stopping time we could have explored Hue but we didn’t know so we sat down where we were dropped off. For TWO hours!!
Eventually another bus came and we embarked on the further 4 hours to Hoi An. We were very happy to arrive before sunset and checked into our hostel.
Walking around Hoi An at night is so beautiful as the lanterns light up the place. There are lanterns EVERYWHERE, in every colour, and it looks gorgeous when you stand by the river.
After dinner overlooking the river, we met up with some climbing friends and looked around the night market. Club reps roped us in with a deal on beers we couldn’t resist so we ended up at Golden Kite and then Dive.
