Time for us to leave this beautiful island. After brekkie we headed to El Nido (Lio) airport, a very small and cute place. The process of checking in and out is very quick and very different from Heathrow London! When we arrived our bags were taken off the plane and pretty much handed over to us. Now it was time to depart, and security and check in took a grand total of 4 minutes. There was free drinks and rice snacks after security as we waited to board.

When the time came to board we were escorted under umbrellas to the plane and seated. We arrived into Cebu Matcan mid afternoon and although it’s recommended to explore Cebu, we opted to take the 2 hour ferry over to the neighbouring island of Bohol. We got into Tagbilaran in the evening and transport was arranged for us to go to another small island, Panglao.

As this is our last major stop in Asia we treated ourselves to an apartment. 9 weeks of hostels has been more than enough and we were very ready for a proper chill and no bunk beds to climb.

The room was perfect: huge double memory foam bed, en suite, a working TV, fridge with beer, and a pool! If you’re looking for somewhere to stay then I highly recommend this place, the full details can be found on Accommodation in South East Asia.

We ventured out for dinner and found a great restaurant called Personals Chef. I had the zucchini pasta and beth had a Thai style chicken dish.
